About the Startup Run Club

One day in February 2025, David Booth decided to make a Linkedin post. He was driving up to Auckland on Thursdays and wanted to gather people together in the startup community for a run. It was more of an experiment to see who would actually turn up.

That day, Paul, Nicky, Katharina and Max came. Fast forward to now, David has now moved back to San Francisco but the rest of that initial first crew is still here.

With David now overseas, Katharina has taken over the reigns of organizing and has aspirations of taking it to the next level.

Founding a startup is playing life on hard mode. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and incredibly lonely. That’s why communities like this are so important. We gather together various people across the ecosystem to make the journey not only easier, but a hellova lot more fun! Come join along!
